How to use:
The single-use strips are used by dissolving a few mg of “test” powder (size of a pin-head – No CHUNKS has to be crushed to a powder) into a teaspoon containing a few small drops of water and waiting about 30 seconds to dissolve. Then submerge the BOTTOM of the test strip up to the MAX line (shown on test strip which is about 1cm from the bottom) for about 20 seconds so it absorbs the liquid and then “wicks" up to the test panel. Lay the strip down & wait about 120 seconds (a couple of minutes) whilst the liquid “wicks” in to the test panel area.
Note: If no teaspoon you can use something similar. You are only after something to hold the water/liquid for dissolving the test substance.
When looking at the test strip you will see a pink/red coloured line just below the test handle. This is the Control Line (C). The next line that may or may not appear below the control is called the Test Line (T).
The control line (C), has to show as this confirms that the test strip has worked properly.
If no control line appears the test strip hasn’t worked properly and you may need to do a further test.
A second pink/red coloured line below the control line, no matter how faint, should now appear. This is a negative result. If no further line appears below the control line then the sample has tested positive for that drug.
Note: Use all test strips within 6 months of purchase.
Store in cool, dark place. Sealed until required.
