Marquis Reagent (RED):
Presumptive identification of Amphetamine-type compounds (Speed etc) including Methamphetamine, MDMA (Ecstasy/Molly), MDA, MDE, Opiates (Morphine, Codeine or Heroin), a general screening agent for other drugs e.g. Research Chemicals etc.

LIEBERMANN Reagent (WHITE):
Sometimes know as Analogue Reagent, it is generally used to test for cocaine, morphine, PMA and PMMA, MDMA, certain substances from the 2C and other Research Chemicals etc. Used as a secondary test that tells the difference between methamphetamine and amphetamine, between MDMA and MDA or between methylone and MDPV

3-phase Cocaine test (GREEN, BLUE & YELLOW)
Tests for the presence of Cocaine with 3 test each test builds on the previous test result to confirm presnece of Cocaine.
Phase 1 is the initial Cocaine Blue test where the reaction turn blue, however the reaction will turn blue with a number of adulterants. Therefore this test is not very good.
Phase 2 should produce a pink colour which then becomes a pink over blue. To achieve this a small test tube is required to enable a separation layer to made.
Phase 3 should produce a blue organic layer with a pink upper layer for both cocaine hydrochloride and cocaine base.
Unlike the other reagents the 3 phase cocaine reagents are filled to different levels as they are not a single application Reagent. Therefore the 3 Reagents (A,B & C) are filled to give 8 complete tests (however initially we have been overfilling these as we had access to a larger Reagent C bottle which is the limiting factor in the kit) for the given dropper ratios indicated above to complete the Scott Ruybal test for cocaine. Whilst there should be additional Reagent A once Reagents B & C have been used up to continue to undertake several single phase (Cocaine Blue) tests.

Instructions
Testing:
Note: use the provided test-tube. NEVER pull the Blue lid/cap/stoppers out of the test tubes or they may break. Use a slight unscrewing twisting motion whilst lifting vertically and they will come out easily if they have been fully inserted.

3 phase Cocaine test testing procedure:
Overview: Addition of Reagent A to cocaine hydrochloride results in the surface of the particles turning a bright blue (faint blue for cocaine base). The solution changes back to pink upon adding one or two drops of Reagent B and mixing. Addition of 5 drops (due to size of dropper aperture) of Reagent C, vortexing, and allowing the solution to settle results in a blue organic layer for both cocaine hydrochloride and cocaine base.
Always use safety gloves (provided)
i. Place a small amount of the suspected cocaine in a test tube. Add five drops of Reagent A (Green Bottle) and insert lid/cap and swirl gently. If cocaine is present a blue colour
develops at once. If a blue colour does not develop, the sample may not contain cocaine.
ii. (Undertaking in a well ventilated area / do not inhale) Add 1 drop of Reagent B (Blue Bottle - Caution this is a corrosive acid) and insert lid/cap and swirl gently. The blue will disappear and a clear pink solution is seen. If all the blue does not disappear, add a second drop (no more) Solution 2 (Blue Bottle) and insert lid/cap and swirl gently
iii. Addition of 5 drops (due to size of pipette aperture) using the provided pipette of Reagent C (Yellow Bottle) and insert lid/cap and swirl gently, allowing the solution to settle results in a blue organic layer with a pink upper layer for both cocaine hydrochloride and cocaine base.
If all three results are achieved and the other supplied reagents do not show any other substances present then these test should confirm Cocaine in the tested substance.

NOTE: These Reagents cannot give an indication of Purity, or Quantity of a Substance, they can only check for the Presence of a Substance. Some colours may be masked due to other substances present hence the benefit of different test Reagents.
Most reagents are primarily concentrated acid with other potentially dangerous chemicals and are strong enough to burn skin and clothing. Keep out of eyes and mouth. Wear gloves (supplied) when handling the bottle and cap. Wear protective eyewear. Never point towards face etc. If you get some on you/clothing, then immediately wash with soap and water. Wash testing surfaces with soap and water as well. Dispose of any unwanted reagent down the sink with running water and possibly baking soda (and ventilate). Store all testing kits away from any heat in a cool, dark place between uses. Keep well away from children. Do not ingest and avoid inhalation. Always use in a well ventilated area.
Wash, with water, and dry safety gloves if they have any liquid on.
